Our experts investigate housing conditions, record the evidence and provide reasoned, impartial opinions. We accept defendant instructions from councils and housing associations, while maintaining the expert’s overriding duty to assist the court.

Reports & Scott Schedules

CPR Part 35 compliant expert reports prepared for the court, supported by a Scott Schedule. We can work with your existing case documents and schedules.

Inspection & investigation

Property inspections, joint inspections where necessary, and specialist investigations appropriate to the agreed scope and the evidence required.

Support as the case progresses

Expert discussions and joint statements at the appropriate later stage, usually after litigation, together with attendance at court to give evidence where required.

Appointments, fees & timescales

A practical appointment process

We welcome enquiries about a single matter or ongoing instructions. Where your organisation requires supplier approval or procurement steps, we work through the relevant process before accepting case instructions.

1. Agree the appointment

Discuss the appropriate expert, conflicts, scope, fees, payment arrangements and required timetable before work begins.

2. Arrange the inspection

We aim to inspect promptly once property access and the necessary arrangements are agreed. Availability and joint inspection arrangements can affect the date.

3. Prepare the evidence

Following inspection, we prepare the report and Scott Schedule efficiently, within the applicable CPR, protocol and court-directed timescales.

Please flag hearing dates, existing directions and urgent requirements at the outset so we can discuss a realistic inspection and reporting timetable.

Experience that matters

Experts who understand housing conditions cases

Our team combines surveying, construction and housing repairs experience with expert witness reporting. Several of our experts have worked within local authority housing teams, bringing practical knowledge of property investigations and the evidence needed in housing conditions cases.

Review the individual profiles to assess the experience and qualifications relevant to your matter. We can discuss the most suitable expert before appointment.
